Kaos polo adalah salah satu bentuk evolusi pakaian terutama kategori kaos. Kaos polo memakai kerah yang melingkar pada leher, ada plakat untuk kancing di bagian depan dada panjangnya tergantung jumlah kancing yang akan dipasang bisa dua kancing atau tiga kancing terserah selera. Saat sekarang ini kaos polo pun sudah banyak berevolusi terutama pada bagian leher, banyak sekarang kita dapati kaos polo tidak lagi memakai kancing pada bagian dada, biasanya untuk mengganti plakat kancing di dada kita bisa pakai sleting atau dicoak sedikit dengan bentuk V pada bagian dada lalu diberi rib (karet) leher agar bagian leher kaos bisa tetap lentur untuk memasukkan kepala.
Untuk pemasangan logo atau gambar pada kaos polo yang terbuat dari bahan lacoste pique cotton lebih bagus menggunakan bordir daripada menggunakan sablon agar terlihat elegan dan biasanya lebih tahan lama dari sablon (kecuali jenis – jenis sablon yang kuat spt : plastisol). Untuk model kaos polo yang diperuntukkan untuk wanita biasanya pakai belahan di bagian bawah kiri dan kanan.
